Over recent weeks, two highly committed volunteers from MHHS, Grahame Ferguson and Iain Neil, have dedicated significant effort to meticulously cataloguing a diverse collection of memorabilia. This collection includes photographs, family histories, and various other historical items stored at the Watervale Institute. All items have been systematically documented and entered into a comprehensive digital database, ensuring their preservation and accessibility for future research and reference. This meticulous process not only enhances the organization of the collection but also facilitates easier retrieval and study of the historical materials, contributing significantly to the preservation of local heritage.
It is an extensive collection and whilst going through it they found some very interesting items, especially from clubs and associations that were quite prominent in Watervale in the past.
