The Clare and Gilbert Valleys Council have now released the long awaited Heritage Guide Booklet.

The guide serves as a gateway, introducing the reader to the stories and landmarks that define the historical significance of the region.
Learn about the original inhabitants, the Ngadjuri people, the arrival of the first European settlers in the 1840s, the building of the railway, and the early agricultural and wine industry.
The booklet is available from the Clare Valley Wine Food and Tourism Centre and also in digital form though the Clare and Gilbert Valleys Council.
Many historical points of interest are listed in the booklet including The John Horrocks story.
