On Friday 6th May the Mt Horrocks Historical Society hosted a group from the Hawthorndene Probus Club. The group arrived at the John Horrocks Cottage where President Wendy Spackman welcomed everyone and presented an account of the life of John Ainsworth Horrocks. Members then drove the short distance to the St Marks Church in Penwortham. MHHS member Meredith McInnis gave a short talk on the history of the church and took participants to several interesting graves.
After morning tea the group then followed David and Wendy Spackman up to Mt Horrocks. This concluded their history tour of Clare and surrounds.
