The Wonders of Watervale

Mt Horrocks Historical Society hosted an event as part of South Australia's History Month on Sunday 7th May.

The Society showcased several historical sites in Watervale, calling the event "The Wonders of Watervale"

Participants were encouraged to start at the Watervale Institute where a warming cuppa and scones were included in the modest price of $5. A map was issued as part of a self guided tour.

On offer was the St Mary's Anglican Church, the Watervale Uniting Church, Stanley Grammar School, Watervale Hall and the last resting place of the Pioneers at the Watervale Cemetery.

The event exceeded expectations with approximately 40 -50 people attending
